Vol. 300 No. 3

Written Answers. - Consumer Price Index.

296.

asked the Taoiseach the effect on the alcoholic drink commodity group of the consumer price index of the increases contained in the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1977, of 14th September, 1977.

Increases in average prices of intoxicating liquor sold for consumption on the premises, equal to the increases set cut in the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order of 14th September, 1977, would be equivalent to a rise of 3.6 per cent in the alcoholic drink commodity group index and 0.4 per cent in the all-items consumer price index for mid-August, 1977.
