The Deputy will be aware that I have only recently assumed responsibility for functions in relation to energy heretofore discharged by the Minister for Transport and Power. This is a policy area to which I am giving urgent and close attention. Among the matters I shall consider is the desirability of issuing a White Paper in the near future or later when, for instance, the outcome of the exploration of the Continental Shelf is clearer.
