asked the Minister for Education why school transport had not been granted to persons (names supplied) in Tullamore, County Offaly who are attending Tullamore national school.

Free transport for eligible children may be provided to the nearest suitable school only. Killeigh national school is the nearest suitable school to this family and free transport may be provided for the two basically eligible children to that school. Fare-paying facilities to Killeigh NS may also be provided for the two older members of the family who do not qualify for free transport on age and distance grounds.
