Written Answers. - Employment Difficulties.

422.

asked the Minister for Labour if he proposes to take any steps to ease the additional difficulties experienced by persons over 40 years of age seeking employment with special reference to pension provisions, and so on; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My responsibilities in this matter relate to the services of placement, guidance and training, including retraining. All these services, as provided by the National Manpower Service and AnCO, are available to persons over 40 years of age on an equal basis with persons of any other age groups.
