Vol. 301 No. 10

Written Answers. - Cork Circuit Court Office.

379.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will sanction the appointment of additional shorthand and clerk/typist staff for the Circuit Court Office, Cork, to enable that office to deal efficiently with an increasing volume of work and to clear up substantial arrears.

The staff of the Cork Circuit Court Office has been increased by two in recent months and, in addition, another officer was transferred to Cork on a temporary basis to assist in clearing arrears of typing work.

Arrangements are being made to carry out a survey of the typing needs of the office to determine whether, and if so to what extent, it is necessary to assign additional staff to the office for typing duties.
