Vol. 302 No. 1

Written Answers. - Bord na Móna Grants.

348.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the grants paid to Bord na Móna for development purposes in respect of: (a) Croghan briquette factory, (b) Derrinlough briquette factory, (c) Lullymore briquette factory, (d) Kilberry moss factory, (e) Coolnamona moss factory, (f) Lanesboro railway bridge and (g) Shannonbridge railway bridge.

Particulars of the capital structure of Bord na Móna are given in the capital account of each year's annual accounts. The annual accounts, as published, are in a form which complies with statutory requirements and accords with modern accounting practice. I consider that I would not be justified in requiring Bord na Móna to furnish for publication accounts additional to those in the form approved in 1976 by the then Minister for Transport and Power after consultation with the Minister for Finance.
