asked the Minister for Health the up-to-date position concerning the provision of a new hospital in Tralee, County Kerry.

The detailed planning of the new general hospital at Tralee is now nearing completion.

The Southern Health Board, by public advertisement, invited contractors interested in tendering for the project to apply to the health board by 2nd September, 1977. The applicants are being considered and the board hope to issue tender documents to the selected contractors at the beginning of December. The tendering period is expected to be eight to ten weeks and building work should commence early in 1978.
