For interview board purposes the competitions advertised by the Local Appointments Commission for 44 posts of dental surgeons were combined with a competition advertised subsequently for a further 9 posts. Twenty-two candidates were invited to attend for interview and 15 of these did so. The interviews were completed only recently and the Local Appointments Commissioners are not yet in a position to recommend persons for appointment.
