Vol. 304 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dairy Disposal Company.

494.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state in respect of the Dairy Disposal Company (a) the salary and total emoluments of the chief executive officer and (b) whether the chief executive officer of this body receives fees in respect of membership of other bodies, boards or councils and so on.

The chairman of the Dairy Disposal Company, who is also its chief executive officer, was a civil servant and following his recent retirement he has been retained in an unestablished capacity for a maximum period of three months from 2 March 1978 in connection with the winding up of the affairs of the company. Aside from the annual pension to which he is entitled as a retired officer he is being paid a daily fee of £23.77 for his services in this connection. He is not a member of any other body, board or council and consequently (b) does not arise.
