Persons claiming or receiving payments from my Department are informed of possible additional entitlements where this is practicable.
Would the Minister consider automatically notifying all people who are in benefit of any changes or of any new schemes under which they might be entitled to benefit? I understand he made an effort in that regard recently.
We are continually trying to improve the situation. We took an initiative in so far as the telephone scheme was concerned and any time an opportunity like that presents itself we will avail of it.
