Vol. 305 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Transport.

473.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the unusual circumstances involved, he will allow school transport for the children of families (details supplied) in County Mayo.

There is no service from the area in which these children live to Rathbane national school. It is not possible, therefore, to facilitate them with transport either free or farepaying to that school. As it happens, these children live in the area of Beltra school which was closed and amalgamated with Glenisland national school. They are eligible for free transport to the school of amalgamation, namely Glenisland national school and can be accommodated on that service should they decide to avail themselves of it.
