Vol. 306 No. 1

Written Answers. - Shannon Post Office.

258.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is intended to provide a full post office in Shannon, County Clare; and the reasons for the delay in doing so.

Full post office facilities are available in Shannon and the surrounding area from the Departmentally-staffed post office in the town, and there are also two post offices within the airport. The question of building a new post office at Shannon to cater for further development is also under consideration but, because of the heavy expenditure involved, a decision has not yet been taken.
