A meeting took place on 6 April 1978 between representatives of my Department, the National Council for Educational Awards and the Borough of Dún Laoghaire Vocational Education Committee concerning the future status of the Art Department of Dún Laoghaire Technical Institute. This matter will be considered further in the context of the general provision of educational facilities for the greater Dublin area.
In view of the unsatisfactory nature of the Minister's reply I propose to raise the subject matter of Question No. 23 on the Adjournment.
