Vol. 306 No. 4

Written Answers. - Limerick Hospital.

207.

asked the Minister for Health the plans he has for the future of Barrington's Hospital Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the development of general hospital services in the MidWestern Health Board area will be shortly considered by the board who will then be submitting proposals to me in the matter. I will consider carefully the position regarding the two Limerick voluntary hospitals—Barrington's and St. John's—in relation to such proposals and I propose consulting the authorities of the hospitals before deciding on matters affecting the hospitals.
