The northern (high level) section cannot proceed until Cork County Council grant permission to the group to take a connection from the public mains at Lismire. The council have sanctioned the design of the southern (low level) section of the scheme, subject to the use of increased pipe sizes. My Department's supervising inspector for the area will call on the group this week to advise them about seeking quotations for materials and tenders for the carrying out of the southern section. When tenders are selected by the group, my Department will be in a position to consider the financial arrangements for this work.
