: Returns from local authorities indicate that, at the end of May 1978 these authorities employed 221 young persons and 72 other unemployed persons under the environmental improvement schemes programme. There are no details of the average time spent on each job, but a total of 12,121 man-days were worked under the programme to the end of May.
