Work Experience Programme: This programme was launched at the beginning of September 1978. The number of young people participating on 6 October was 214 and the number of man weeks worked to date is 450.

The Ballyfermot Employment Census: This census was carried out by the Ballyfermot Employment Action Group during the months May-June 1978 and a total number of 147 man weeks was provided for 33 young persons.
