asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction the extension of the Castlerea sewerage scheme at Harristown, County Roscommon.

The local authority sought my Department's observations on this scheme and have been advised, in view of the high cost involved, that they should reconsider their proposals.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the water and sewerage schemes submitted by each local authority for sanction since 5 July 1977; the date of each submission: the cost; the amount of money sanctioned; if arrangements have been made to make the necessary loans available; and the date such action was taken.

The information sought by the Deputy is being compiled and will be forwarded to him as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money allocated to each authority for water and sewerage schemes for the second half of 1978; the amount requested by each local authority and the balance, if any, not yet allocated under this heading.
