A new community school to replace the existing secondary and vocational schools in Castletownbere has been completed. It cannot be brought into operation, however, until there is general agreement on the deed of trust for the management of such school. In the meantime portion of the premises are being made available as temporary accommodation for the vocational school, the present premises of which are not suitable for all the pupils.
