Vol. 310 No. 6

Written Answers. - National Museum.

56.

andMr. Bruton asked the Minister for Education why the Merrion Row, Dublin premises, purchased by the previous Government for the National Museum, are not yet open to the public; when the premises will be open; and if he will give details of the exhibits to be housed there.

The exhibition cases are at present in the process of being delivered and erected. When these arrangements have been completed, it will be necessary to transfer the appropriate materials and this transfer will take some time. The matter will be expedited as much as possible so that the premises may be open to the public during the course of the first half of 1979.

It is intended to have exhibitions of Irish Folk life material and of Irish geological specimens in the new premises.
