The terms of reference of the National Manpower Planning Committee for Personal Social Services will be to identify the types and numbers of staffs that will be required to deliver existing and proposed social services, and to determine the training needs of these staffs. It will advise the Government Departments and relevant educational authorities concerned with these matters.

The membership of the National Manpower Planning Committee for Personal Social Services has not yet been finalised. An officer of the Department of Health has been appointed as chairman of the committee, and arrangements are being made to have the inaugural meeting of the committee early next year.
