asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of public telephone lines at the Passport Office, Setanta House, Dublin; and if he considers the number of such lines adequate to provide an effective public service.

There are at present eight public telephone lines at the Passport Office, Setanta Centre, Dublin. The Department of Posts and Telegraphs have been asked to increase this number.

239.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will ensure that the name, address and telephone number of the Passport Office is in future put on all passport application forms.

The address of the Passport Office has been shown at note 3 of the directions on passport application forms currently in use. The full postal address of the new office at the Setanta Centre, Molesworth Street, will be included in the new version of the form.

It is not considered appropriate to show the telephone number on the form which is printed in very large quantities as the number has been changed more than once in recent years. The telephone number is of course available in the current edition of the telephone directory.
