Vol. 311 No. 6

Written Answers. - New Ross (Wexford) Company.

191.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy if he is aware that the workers in a company (details supplied) in New Ross, County Wexford, are on a three-day week, and the steps that are being taken by way of Government assistance to reach full production at this company.

I am aware that a three-day working week was recently introduced by the company. I am informed that this was due to a shortage of orders and that the company expect to return to a five-day working week in the near future. Also the Industrial Development Authority are discussing diversification plans with the company.
