asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the grant-assisted new industries which commenced production in Wexford town from 1973; and, in respect of these industries (a) the grants approved by the IDA, (b) the products, (c) the date on which production commenced, (d) the present employment, and (e) the potential employment and the date of full production.

The following tabular statement gives the information sought by the Deputy with the exception of present employment. It is not the practice to give information on present employment in respect of individual firms.

* Schoep Limited, a German company, plans to take over Nino Ltd., (which commenced production in 1975) as a going concern and the employment potential of the new venture is 300 at full production in 1982.

Life Savers, a US promoted project, recently announced its intention to commence the production of chewing gum at Wexford town. This project is expec to employ 600 people at full production in 1983.
