Vol. 312 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dublin School.

202.

asked the Minister for Education if a secondary school is being built at the back of the Agricultural College, Beaumont Road, Beaumont, Dublin; and, if so, when it will be completed.

My Department have not received any proposal for the provision of a secondary school in the Beaumont area. The question of the need for additional post-primary accommodation for boys in this area is at present being examined by the Dublin Advisory Council on Post-Primary School accommodation. In the meantime my Department are negotiating with the Department of Agriculture regarding the feasibility of securing a site for a second-level boys' school on the Veterinary Research Station land at Thorndale, off Collins Avenue.
