Vol. 312 No. 5

Written Answers. - Ballisodare (County Sligo) School.

203.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that Department approval was given for a new school building at St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballisodare, County Sligo, in May 1978; that the plans of the building were submitted to his Department on 11 November 1978; if he will give immediate approval to those plans, in view of the fact that it is inhuman to hold classes in pre-fabs where gas heaters are the only source of heat, while the structures themselves are falling to pieces; and if he will make a statement on the matter indicating if money will be available for this very urgent building this year.

My Department are completing their examination of the plans submitted for the extension at St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballisodare, County Sligo, and will be in touch with the manager in the near future. A capital allocation for this project will be made available in due course.
