In the period from 1 April 1970 to 31 December 1978 amounts totalling £5,241,238 were paid by my Department, and the agencies under the aegis of my Department, to companies in County Meath.

As there is no obligation on companies to notify my Department of their intention to cease operations I am not in a position to give a comprehensive answer to the question.
The following is a list of companies in County Meath which are known by the Industrial Development Authority to have failed (that is to have closed and not reopened or relocated) in the period, together with the moneys paid by my Department, and by the agencies under the aegis of my Department, to each company. The employment as at 1 January prior to the date of closure is given where this is known.
