Vol. 313 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kerry Group Water Scheme.

290.

asked the Minister for the Environment if proposals have been received from Kerry County Council in relation to Keel Group Water Scheme and if he will sanction same.

The local authority's proposals to provide the Inch Regional Water Supply headworks for the Keel Group Water Scheme as well as for group development in the Inch area must be considered in the context of the amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the number of schemes in progress or getting to construction at the present time. I cannot say at this stage when I will be in a position to approve this headworks proposal, contract documents for which are under consideration in my Department.
