Subject to the provisions of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations, the determination of the number of new taxi licences, if any, to be granted for the Cork taximeter area is a function of Cork Corporation and the granting of licences is a matter for the Garda Commissioner. I have no function in either of these matters.
