asked the Minister for Education if it is proposed to provide a new secondary school in the DuleekLaytown area and, if so, if he will give details.

The question of the provision of a new second-level school in the East Meath area is being considered by my Department at present.

asked the Minister for Education if he is satisfied that the existing schools can cope with the increasing demand for secondary education in Navan, County Meath and if not, if he has any proposals for an additional community or secondary school in Navan.

Post primary education in Navan is provided by three secondary schools and a vocational school. Expansion of the secondary schools is a matter for the relevant school authorities. Plans for a new 800 pupil vocational school are going ahead.
