Vol. 314 No. 2

Written Answers. - Donaghmede (Dublin) Garda Strength.

314.

asked the Minister for Justice the steps which will be taken to have an increased Garda presence in the area of Donaghmede, County Dublin, and if a permanent Garda station will be provided in the vicinity.

The Garda authorities state that the existing policing arrangements for the Donaghmede area, which is served from Coolock station, provide a reasonably adequate service, having regard to the available resources and other demands on Garda services. However, the needs of the Coolock sub-district are due to be reviewed later this year as part of a comprehensive examination of policing arrangements for the developing areas on the north side of the city.
