Vol. 314 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - By-Pass Road Proposals.

17.

asked the Minister for the Environment to indicate the number of provincial towns located on the national primary route system which have current proposals for a by-pass; if he will indicate the following information in relation to each named town; the length of the proposed by-pass, the estimated cost of the by-pass, the length of time required to construct the by-pass, the approximate level of employment which will be created during the construction of the by-pass and the present state of outline or design proposals for each by-pass in question.

Would the Minister tell the House the number of towns?

There are five pages in the statement which deals with each town. There are approximately 30.

If a Minister is circulating a statement with the Official Report that should be sufficient without the House being held up answering questions about the contents of such statements.
