Vol. 314 No. 9

Written Answers. - Local Authority VAT Refunds.

187.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason Dublin County Council were excluded from the reply to a parliamentary question answered on Tuesday, 15 May concerning the amount of VAT refunded or due for refund by the Revenue Commissioners to each local authority in respect of the year 1978, and if he will now state the amount involved in respect of Dublin County Council.

Local authorities to which VAT refunds were not made by the Revenue Commissioners for the tax periods of 1978 were not included in the reply. Dublin County Council was one of a number of such local authorities. Claims by Dublin County Council for refund of VAT for the tax periods of 1978 were received recently by the Revenue Commissioners but the amount due for refund has not yet been determined.
