Vol. 315 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Warrenmount (Dublin) New Secondary School.

13.

asked the Minister for Education when permission will be given and the necessary finance allocated for the building of the new secondary school at the Presentation Convent, Warrenmount, Dublin 8.

Tenders for the building of a new secondary school at Warrenmount, Dublin 8, are at present under consideration by my Department's Building Unit and a decision on the matter will be conveyed to the school manager as soon as possible.

Is the Minister in a position to say when this decision will be forthcoming? There is some apprehension on the part of the school authorities that the moneys will not be forthcoming for this school in the near future.

With the pressure exercised by the Minister of State at the Department of Posts and Telegraphs, the Minister for Economic Planning and Development and Deputy O'Brien, even if I wanted a way out I do not think I could have a way out. There will be a decision in the very near future.

The money will be provided?

Certainly.
