In March of this year I authorised the County Mayo Vocational Education Committee to invite tenders for the provision of new vocational schools at Castlebar, Belmullet and Achill and for the extension of Ballina Vocational School.
Tenders received by the Committee for the Ballina project are at present being examined by my Department's building unit and the committee will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible.
My Department await the committee's report on the outcome of the invitation for tenders for the remaining projects.
