Vol. 315 No. 12

Written Answers. - Limerick Special School.

182.

asked the Minister for Education if the proposed special school for deaf children at Limerick which was considered by the Advisory Committee on Education for the Deaf at their meeting of 2 July 1979 will be sanctioned.

I will consider very carefully the advice tendered to me by the Advisory Committee on the Education of the Deaf regarding the proposal to establish a school for deaf children in Limerick, but I am not yet in a position to give a decision in the matter. My concern is to arrive at the best possible solution in the long-term interest of the children. I appreciate the parents' anxiety and I will let them know my decision at the earliest possible date.
