The Industrial Development Authority are at present negotiating with an overseas company which is considering the location of a project at Skibbereen. As the proposed 7,000 sq. ft. advance factory would not be adequate for this project it may be necessary to review the position once a decision has been taken on the project.

asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the progress made to date regarding the acquisition of an IDA industrial site at Bantry, County Cork.
The Industrial Development Authority are continuing their efforts to secure a suitable site at Bantry for industrial development. I understand that discussions are now at an advanced stage for the purchase of land near Bantry on which it would be proposed to build the cluster unit originally planned for Seskin.
