The income guidelines for purposes of eligibility for medical cards are normally reviewed on an annual basis by the chief executive officers of the health boards. The next review is due to be carried out when the information on the change in the consumer price index up to mid-November 1979 becomes available. This review will take full account of any increase in the cost of living in the 12 months up to that time.
