358.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make money available to Meath County Council under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, to prevent a recurrence of flooding of houses and roads by the river Delvin; and if not, why, and if he will outline the alternative means available to the county to solve the problem.

There are no proposals before my Department at present from Meath County Council in connection with the flooding of the river Delvin.
