asked the Minister for the Environment when it is proposed to establish the electoral commission to redraw the Dáil boundaries for the next general election; and if he will make a statement regarding the composition of the commission and its terms of reference.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 359 and 360 together.
An electoral commission has now been established to advise and report on the formation of constituencies for the election of members to Dáil Éireann. The membership and terms of reference of the commission are set out in the statement issued by me on 12 October.
