With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 448 to 451 together.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 452 to 463, inclusive, together.

Because of the fact that the Ballyfermot, Crumlin, Drimnagh and Inchicore areas are not co-terminous with the garda districts and sub-districts from which the areas are policed, it would be misleading to think in terms of Garda resources being allocated exclusively to those areas.

Thus, the Ballyfermot area is served from Ballyfermot and Kilmainham stations, the Crumlin area is served from Crumlin and Terenure stations, the Inchicore area is served from Kilmainham station and the Drimnagh area is served from Sundrive Road and Crumlin stations. Four of the five stations mentioned also serve other areas.

The numbers and ranks of Garda personnel at the five stations are as follows:

In addition, a van based at Kevin Street, which is a district headquarters, is used throughout the areas served from Kevin Street and Kilmainham stations.

There are a number of trained motor cyclists at each of the Garda stations referred to.
