Based on the figures for the school year ended 30-6-1978 the information sought is as follows:
1 (a) At primary level 0.5 per cent of all pupils are enrolled in special classes.
1 (b) At primary level 1.5 per cent of all pupils are enrolled in special schools.
In regard to second-level schools, no formal statistical information is available as to the numbers at present receiving instruction in special classes but second-level schools are free to follow special programmes of instruction, as appropriate, for any pupils concerned.
