Vol. 317 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Manpower Service.

13.

Mr. Walsh

asked the Minister for Labour if he will extend the National Manpower Service network to include more towns in an effort to further reduce unemployment.

At present there are 35 offices of the National Manpower Service located in various centres throughout the country, and I intend to open a further eight as soon as suitable office accommodation becomes available. "Clinics" also operate on a regular basis in several towns where a demand for the service has been established. The level of activity in all areas is kept under constant review by me and resources are allocated according to demand.
