Vol. 318 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dunlavin (Wicklow) Vocational School.

535.

asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, to carry out urgently-needed repairs to Dunlavin vocational school, County Wicklow, to provide the school with appropriate classroom, sanitary, heating, laboratory, workshop and recreational facilities; if it is intended to build a new school and, if so, when.

The preparation of plans for repairs to the existing premises is a matter in the first instance for County Wicklow Vocational Education Committee. I understand that the committee is giving urgent consideration to the matter.

I have approved the provision of a new vocational school building for 325 pupils. The agreement of the vocational education committee to a revised schedule of accommodation is awaited.
