Certain difficulties concerning title to the site for a new primary school at Ballintubber, Co. Mayo gave rise to delay. However, my Department expect to be in a position soon to sanction a grant towards the cost of the school. It is not possible at this stage to say when building work will commence.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the provision of a new primary school in Kilmaine, County Mayo, in view of the fact that all local requirements have been fulfilled, and the reason for the delay to date.
Difficulties in securing a suitable site for Kilmaine new primary school gave rise to delay. The accommodation requirements are being considered at present. When these have been decided, the Commissioners of Public Works will be asked to prepare sketch-plans. It is not possible to say at this stage when building work will commence.
