Provision was made by way of a Supplementary Estimate in 1979 for a special grant of £2 per pupil towards the increase in the cost of heating in secondary schools. The payment was made to the schools in December 1979.
Provision has been made in the Estimates for 1980 for an increase with effect from 1 January 1980 of £2 per pupil in the average rate of £30 per pupil capitation grant to secondary schools.
