I move:
(1) That paragraph 4 of Part I of the Schedule to the Finance (Excise Duties) (Vehicles) Act, 1952 (No. 24 of 1952), be, as respects licences under section 1 of that Act for periods beginning on or after the 1st day of April, 1980, amended by—
(a) the substitution of "£10" for "25p" in subparagraph (a),
(b) the substitution of "£10" for "£1" (inserted by the Finance Act, 1973) in subparagraph (b), and
(c) the substitution of "£10" for "£5" (inserted by the Finance Act, 1973) in subparagraph (c).
(2) It is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 (No. 7 of 1927).
