I move:
(1) That section 1 (2) (b) of the Finance (Excise Duties) (Vehicles) Act, 1952 (No. 24 of 1952), be, as respects licences under that Act for periods beginning on or after the 1st day of April, 1980, be amended by the substitution of "ten pounds or less" for "five pounds or less" (inserted by the Finance Act, 1966 (No. 17 of 1966)).
(2) It is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1927 (No. 7 of 1927).
