Note:
(i) Application of the agricultural grant allowances to the above holdings in 1980 would mean an estimated increase of £6 million in the amount of the grant.
(ii) The saving to the Exchequer from the exclusion of the above holdings from relief would depend on the extent to which the £6 million would be offset by credits against income tax allowed in respect of rate payments on the holdings. At this stage there is no reliable basis on which this can be estimated.
