As I indicated in the Dáil on 5 December last, I have approved in principle proposals by Waterford Corporation for the construction of a new low level bridge to replace Redmond Bridge. Technical details of the proposal have recently been received in my Department and are being examined. The commencement of construction work will depend on progress with the completion of documents and tendering.
